James, what a great night you helped out with. The gang was completely impressed and blown away.  The comments went on all evening of how great the service and food was and of course your great location. I think you'll see many of them back again. I may even bring Sophie out for a nice lunch or supper sometime. Thanks again for making me look good.

On a beautiful day this fall, my family biked to the Side Door Cafe to enjoy lunch on the outdoor patio. We were welcomed by an enthusiastic server who served us the yummiest of sandwiches and a cool glass of milk. It was a weekend highlight in our own neighborhood. Thank you, Jamie and Mary Ann.

Thanks to everyone who was a part of our wedding here at Shadow Lawn.  Everything was amazing and we appreciate all that was done for us, it was perfect.

My husband Tom Haney and I were married at Shadow Lawn Inn in July 2008. As an “older” couple, we wanted a setting which reflected where we now are in life as well as a place we could return to on our anniversaries. We could not have picked a better setting than lovely Shadow Lawn in picture perfect Rothesay. Pat Gallagher and his staff embraced our “East meets West” theme  with N.B. Lobster and Alberta Beef.

Planning a wedding even a small one from afar is never easy but it was in our case because of the masterful way even the smallest detail was handled. Our guests from across the country were charmed  by the elegance and grace of the location and the warmth of the host and staff. A lovely afternoon turned into a balmy evening with guests spilling out of the stately Inn onto immaculate lawns, listening to music drifting from inside. Last year we enjoyed a marvelous anniversary dinner there and it too was a special evening.

We will be back later this month to celebrate our 2010 anniversary at Shadow Lawn Inn albeit a little later in the month. My husband and I highly recommend this remarkable venue for any special occasion. We were also delighted to see that as of July 1, the next generation of Gallaghers will continue this special place in the time honoured tradition of elegant hospitality.
